We then get the sense of tranquility that leads us to an optimistic outlook on life, consequently drawing in beneficial effects on our physical well-being.

The early yogis (practitioners of yoga) did yoga supported by meditation, in their ques towards the goal of self-realization or enlightenment.”  Their meditation wasn’t just in minutes, but days, even weeks. This needed a lot of energy and the capacity for bare subsistence.  The different asanas (yoga positions), supplied them with maximum strength with minimum pressure while meditation gave the force and determination to do the asanas successfully. It's a useful situation of cause and effect.

There is a symbiotic connection between the asanas and meditation that enables the yogis to achieve their goal of mind-body-spirit union.
